Ayan Mukerji reveals Brahmastra part 2 and 3 will be shot simultaneously: But pehle achchhi tarah se likhenge - Times of India
Filmmaker Ayan Mukerji's dream project Brahmastra part one - Shiva emerged as one of the biggest Bollywood grosser of 2022 by collecting Rs 400 crore globally. The movie, which featured a stellar Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna, was made over a period of almost a decade. However, Ayan is determined to bring Brahmastra part two and three to the audience a little bit early.
The second installment of Brahmastra will revolve around the story of Dev, who has been revealed to be Shiva's father in part one. Ayan revealed that he will be shooting for Brahmastra 2 and 3 simultaneously and it will take him around three years from now to release Brahmastra part two in theatres.
He also reacted to the criticism for Brahmastra dialogues penned by Hussain Dalal. He said that though people still accepted the film and performed well at the box office, he has heard the criticism clearly and also agreed with some of it.
"We did get some mixed reactions. We still did really good numbers. A lot of people accepted our film. It also did well when it came out on streaming (platform). It's probably the highest grossing Hindi film of 2022. But I still hear that critisism very clearly. The thing is I accept and agree with some of it. Some of that criticism came down to some aspects related to the writing and story of Brahmastra. I want to understand these things and make part two better," he said.
